About Us
Save Little Pimmit Run is a community group working to preserve, protect and restore the Little Pimmit Run watershed. Starting in in Arlington County, the Little Pimmits flows through Fairfax County and enters the Potomac in the Gorge, just south of Chain Bridge. This community group seeks to encourage responsible stormwater management.
Current there are serious problems of hazardous flash flooding, water quality containmination, bank erosion, stream bed scowering and overall threat to the native habitat. Watershed management must be improved and best practices implemented to stop the on-going degradation of the Little Pimmit as well are waterways down stream including the Potomac River and Cheasapeake Bay.
